On Wednesday 21st of March my class was asked to give feedback on each others magazine. After the feedback was given back to me I decided to post it on blogger to show that I am taking in the feedback my peers had given me and using it to create a better Magazine than it already is. Also knowing that my peers believe that my Magazine has an audience of rockers is good as this is what my Magazine aims for as its target audience.
Here is three of my peers feedback they gave me on my Magazine:
Millie:
Q1: Who do you think the audience is for this magazine? How did you arrive at this idea?
A: Rock Fans, they way they are dressed in the images and the font used on the Magazine.
Q2: What genre is this music magazine? What is it about the cover which gives you this impression?
A: Rock, the impression of rock that is given to me is by the use of the colours black and white, the use of the guitar in the images, and the title itself 'Dr.Rock'
Q6: Are the images suitable for the content? Do they excite interest and provide visual clues for the reader?
A: the artists are good indicators and I like the plain grey serious background to keep that rock feel to the magazine.I liked the use of the guitar in the image as well.
Q10: If you were asked to suggest a way to improve this, what would you say?
A: The font is difficult to read on the artists t-shirt, try not to expand and compress the images too much.
Dominic:
Q1: Who do you think the audience is for this magazine? How did you arrive at this idea?
A: The audience is aged between 16-22 mostly into rock music, and the name of the magazine made me arrive at the idea of the audience for this magazine.
Q2: What genre is this music magazine? What is it about the cover which gives you this impression?
A: Rock...
Q6: Are the images suitable for the content? Do they excite interest and provide visual clues for the reader?
A: Yeah, include drums and instruments in the images which the readers may also play.
Laura:
Q1: Who do you think the audience is for this magazine? How did you arrive at this idea?
A: I think the audience for this magazine is you people aged 16-24, that enjoy rock/indie music.
Q2: What genre is this music magazine? What is it about the cover which gives you this impression?
A: Rock is the genre of the magazine, the colours of the magazine also help to prove the genre of the magazine. also the font used on this front cover fits in with the genre of the magazine.
From this feedback I can now start to improve on my magazine and also the feedback tells me that i am on the right track for a Rock genre magazine :)

Interview On The Double Page Spread
I decided to type up the interview on Microsoft Word instead of filming the interview. The main reason for this was I couldn't get the artists to help record one, but I did send the band the questions and they sent the answers back for me to use in my magazine as legitimate information. Here is the interview below;
We at Dr. ROCK thought we would introduce a new band that
we all think is the best upcoming band this year and decided to chuck some
questions at the band members of See You At Nasa the new Indie/ROCK band.
Haydn: See You At Nasa, good to finally meet you guys.
Chris & Drake: Hey no problem.
Haydn: So I heard from your manager you came all the way
from Harlow ? How was the trip up here ?
Drake : Yeah we're from Harlow in Essex it was a long trip
bit it was worth it in the end.
Haydn: oh why was that?, beside the fact your being
introduced into the rock world by the best rock magazine in England.
Chris: Well our manager was able to get us a gig in London
today after the interview at the O2 Stadium where we began our musical career
as backup vocalists and guitarists for A Day To Remember.
Haydn: Now I have to say that is a huge achievement! I am
actually very jealous of you guys, I would of loved to play backup for them and
I bet your fans would love to see that again!
Drake: Well they can! If they head to our bands website
they can see all of our performances, our blog and latest news.
Chris: Don't forget the tweets and competition to meet us
at our next gig!
Haydn: Oh sweet I may have to check it out myself. To the
fans reading this magazine the website is www.SeeYouAtNasa/Awesome.co.uk guys
have you got anything in-store for your fans this year ?
Chris: See You At Nasa will be touring this year in
America and Europe so make sure we see you guys there!
Haydn: sorry guys that's all the time we have so ill have
to cut this short any last info for your fans?
Drake & Chris: Yeah to all our fans....... See You At
Nasa!

Idea For Double Page Spread?
While deciding on the layout of my double page spread I had a look through my old gaming magazines to help me with layouts of a page or two. I saw this column which gave me an idea, to use the same positioning but use it as a fact file on the band, telling the readers about where they were from, their names, how old, favorite brands of clothing and their genre of music. I wast to sure at first whether or not to put it on the double page spread or the contents page, so I tested it on both and I preferred the fact file to be on the double page spread thus giving my contents page more room for images and text which was a plus.
